JOB SUMMARY
Works closely with top management to define and implement sales, distribution, and marketing strategies
to support long-term plans of business segment. The Director of Sales is responsible for meeting
revenue objectives, maintaining profitability goals, and development of support staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare one year and multiyear business development plans with appropriate metrics
- Refine and improve sales strategies, tactics, and techniques
- Manage and expand existing independent sales representative network
- Trade Show participation and planning.
- Problem resolution and trouble-shooting.
- Travel (25%-35%).
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day to day activities of inside sales and outside sales team.
- Coordinate efforts of engineering support and customer service team.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (ALL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES ARE
REQUIRED UNLESS NOTED AS PREFERRED)
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Possess knowledge of competitive products and markets.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize projects.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well with employees and customers at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE (ALL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE BULLETS ARE REQUIRED UNLESS
NOTED AS PREFERRED)
- BS/BA Degree; preferred in Engineering.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive HVAC Sales experience is required.
- Experience with a coils manufacturer is required.
- Prior Heat Transfer Industry experience.
