Shift Manager, Mine Operations - Now Hiring

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager, Mine Operations at our Minorca Mine operation.
The Shift Manager, Mine Operations is responsible to ensure conformance with Cliff's requirements for safety, ethics, accountability, and environmental requirements through a commitment to the Cliffs Core Values, while supervising hourly production employees and daily operations of the Mine.
The ideal candidate will have prior mining experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with complex operations.
Summary of
Responsibilities:
Directly lead union employees who are responsible for maintaining and operating equipment through time-based, predictive, and emergency actions.
Ability to work in extreme conditions (hot/cold, heights, stairs, ladders)Supervise the completion of work assignments and follow established department plans.
Enforce safety and environmental regulations, conducts daily safety communications, monitors monthly safety activities, and conduct safety inspections as needed.
Create, read, and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports.
Consult with other supervisors to coordinate operations and maintenance activities within or between departments.
Responsible for personnel matters, including training, development, discipline, safety programs and policies for direct reports.
Resolve employee concerns, complaints, or grievances.
Direct contractors as needed to support the departmentOther duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED.
Post-secondary degree in a technical field or have equivalent experienceMinimum of two years of experience in an industrial environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work rotating shiftsPreferred
Qualifications:
Supervisory experience in an industrial environment is preferredMining or Heavy Construction experience is preferredCleveland-Cliffs Inc.
