This position requires an active DoD Secret Clearance. Responsibilities This journeyman data scientist will work as part of a team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts to support advanced analytics projects for various Army customers. Responsibilities include:
Engage technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business processes, analytical requirements, key data elements, etc. Execute techniques to integrate, consolidate, and structure data for analytical use. Understand and analyze complex and organization-specific datasets. Research, analyze, and document various technical approaches. Transform data and analysis into informative visualizations and interactive dashboards using open-source and commercially available visualization and dashboard tools. Develop briefing packages to communicate complex ideas to non-technical customers Travel:
Minimal, less than 10% Qualifications Required:
DoD Secret clearance required. Must have, at a minimum, an active Interim Secret Clearance. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. 4
years of related work experience. Experience with big data and big data technologies. Experience with data visualizations and interactive dashboards. Experience working with data analysis tools (Python, Java), computational analysis tools (R, MATLAB), and associated data science libraries (scikit-learn). Experience developing and implementing statistical, machine learning, and heuristic techniques to create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. Desired:
Graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Experience with Palantir's Foundry platform. Experience with US Army Logistics data. #LI-SH1
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Data Science & Machine LearningEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
